Police charge woman after pursuit at Cowra
A woman has been charged following a police pursuit in the state’s Central West yesterday.
Just after 11.30am (Tuesday 3 August 2021), officers from Chifley Police District were patrolling when they attempted to stop a red Mitsubishi Lancer on Vaux Street, Cowra, for the purpose of a random breath test.
Police will allege the vehicle failed to stop, and a pursuit commenced.
The Mitsubishi travelled through Cowra, before the pursuit as terminated due to safety concerns.
A short time later, the Mitsubishi hit a marked police vehicle on Buronga Street.
The driver, a 21-year-old woman, attempted to flee on foot before being arrested after a short struggle. Her passenger was assessed by paramedics at the scene.

SMS geo-targeting alert issued in re-appeal to locate man missing from Bathurst
Police have issued an SMS geo-targeting alert and are re-appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state’s Central Tablelands.
Chaise Thompson, aged 25, was last seen leaving a hotel on Gilmour Street, Kelso, about 12.30am on Wednesday (23 June 2021).
Family reported him missing to officers from Chifley Police District the following day (Thursday 24 June 2021), who have since been conducting inquiries into his whereabouts.
Concerns continue to be held for Chaise’s welfare as his movements after this remain unknown and he has not been seen or heard from since.
