The Cowboys famous pancake breakfast will be back May 14 after rodeo festivities were canceled last year due to the pandemic. The $5 breakfast has a new location: the parking lot at the Redding Civic Auditorium, where table, chairs and the griddles will be set up.

The Asphalt Cowboys are bringing back their famous Rodeo Week pancake breakfast after the event was canceled last year due to the pandemic.
Asphalt Cowboys spokesman Dave Tappan said Thursday the group received word from the Shasta County Health Department late Wednesday afternoon that our annual pancake breakfast is a go! We re ecstatic. We are so happy about this, Tappan said, adding that city of Redding officials are glad about it, too.
The pancake breakfast will be held 5-10 a.m. May 14. The location of the breakfast and other details will be revealed during a media luncheon Tuesday. We re going to be doing some of our other Rodeo Week activities, Tappan said. We ll go through that at our luncheon.
