Covid cases are falling in WIltshire Covid cases in Wiltshire have decreased by 799 in the last recorded week. The number of recorded cases showed a 37 per cent decrease in the seven days to July 27, the last weekly period available, compared with the previous week. In the week to July 27, there were 1,359 cases reported in the Wiltshire Council area. The rate of new cases is now 271.8 per 100,000.
Two deaths in the past week Wiltshire recorded two deaths within 28 days of a positive test between July 26 and August 1. A patient in his 40s died in Salisbury Hospital on Wednesday (July 28). Since May 21, Wiltshire has had four recorded deaths where Covid is listed on the death certificate as a cause of death, according to the Government s coronavirus dashboard.
