Owner Sarah Cantelo, of Newport, said: Bessie had a slipped disc two years ago and couldn t walk. She was in the vets for a week but got no better, so the vets decided to let me take her home to see how she went - otherwise the only option was to send her to rainbow bridge. She was held up using a sling around her back end and she had a course of medication, then she started hydrotherapy at Doggy Paddles which made a great difference. Two years on and Bessie is doing great - she s had another relapse, but with rest she s now doing great and enjoying life running around with our other dogs.

An Easter Teatime Treats workshop will be hosted online, and raise funds for Farleigh Hospice.
Emma Wallis of Lottie & Jake’s Scrumptious Cakes will teach cake decoration on March 30 at 2pm. Participants will learn how to make cute chicks and colourful Easter eggs from fondant icing that can be used to decorate one large cake or individual cupcakes.
Emma will also share her buttercream recipe. The online workshop costs £10 per household and is suitable for all ages, but little ones may need some help from an adult.
