At the time we held out hope that we might be able to reconvene over the summer. But it soon became clear if we wanted to bring people together for Game Developers Conference, we’d need to go online. So began a year of experimenting and iterating that sometimes felt like it mirrored the game development process. We had to evaluate our core competencies, find new technology partners like Swapcard to get us into an online space, and keep in close contact with our stakeholders and sponsors as we re-imagined the fundamentals of GDC.

Missouri S&T undergraduates to exhibit latest research projects to state legislators virtually

RDN REPORTS rdnnews@gmail.com Undergraduate students from Missouri University of Science and Technology will exhibit their latest research projects virtually for the state’s top legislators throughout the week of April 12. The students, who work on research projects under the direction of faculty advisors, will participate in the annual Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol, an event that welcomes undergraduates from all four campuses in the University of Missouri System. The event is designed to inform Missouri’s lawmakers about research at Missouri universities. Missouri S&T places an emphasis on providing research opportunities to undergraduate students. The following students will represent S&T at the remote event:

Tributes pour in for kind and caring Dublin GP who died after contracting Covid-19

Updated: 27 Jan 2021, 9:26 TRIBUTES have poured in for a kind and caring Dublin GP after he died with Covid-19 earlier this month. Paul McDermott, 57, would be the first GP to die of Covid-19 if his death is officially attributed to coronavirus. 1 McDermott cared for patients from his surgery in Rathfarnham, south Dublin, for over 20 years. He passed away suddenly at home after testing postive for Covid-19 on January 11. LIFETIMES OF SERVICE His family have been caring for the area for over 50 years as his mother, Dr Sarah McCauley, opened a GP surgery in Rathfarnham in the 1960s. Speaking with the Irish Times, his brother Ray McDermott, an oncologist, said that the family are awaiting the results of a post mortem.
