Technical Tidbits 5/27: Tech falls to Clemson in opening of ACC Tournament

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball team opened the ACC Tournament against Clemson last night. They ended up losing the game 11-5. However, it doesn’t mean the 2nd seed Yellow Jackets are out of the tournament. They will face off against 11th seed Louisville today. The game will take place at 3:00 PM today. Good luck to them as they aim to bounce back from their loss and advance in the tournament.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The No. 1 seeded Florida State Men’s Golf team makes its 26th trip to the NCAA Championship Finals as it seeks the program’s first national title on May 28-June 2 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
On Friday-Sunday, each team will participate in the stroke-play portion of the championship to determine the Top 15 teams remaining. On Monday, May 31, the final day of stroke play occurs to limit the field from 15 to the Top eight teams for match play.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) Julia Johnson wrote out a list of goals when she arrived at Ole Miss to play golf for a program that had not won so much as an SEC title.
The fifth and final goal: National champion.
“Part of me thought we could do it. Part of me thought, ‘This is a big dream,’” Johnson said Wednesday after the Rebels overwhelmed Oklahoma State, 4-1, to win the NCAA Women’s Championship. “I don’t think it’s hit me yet. We’re going to cherish this forever.”
