Eulalie Lois Godfrey, age 98, of Caruthers, California, died on May 5, 2021. She was the seventh of 10 children born to parents Elva Taylor Pitts and Leon Alexis Pitts. She was born in Bellflower, California on March 10, 1923, attended Selma High School, Reedley Junior College, and Nursing School at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, California. There she also became a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps to help meet the increasing need for nursing professionals as a result of WW II.
In 1943 she married Merle Keith Godfrey (U.S. Navy Coast Guard), her high school sweetheart, and they remained married for 43 years until his death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Karen Trettin, her grandson Michael Keith Cox, and her sons-in-law Michael Birmingham and Michael Trettin.

Jimmy Inn s Family Grieve As Stockton Officer Shot Dead Leaves Behind 7-Month-Old Baby

Tributes have been paid to Jimmy Inn, a 30-year-old Stockton, California, police officer who was fatally shot while responding to a domestic violence call.
Inn is survived by his wife Tela, who is also a Stockton police officer, as well as a 7-month old son, a 12-year-old stepdaughter and a 14-year-old stepson, Stockton Police Chief Eric Jones said at a news conference.
KMAX-TV reported that officers from law enforcement agencies across the region gathered at San Joaquin General Hospital on Tuesday to escort Inn s body to the county coroner s office. Inn s friends and family also joined the procession.
