Winery Brush Fire Breaks Out Near Agua Dulce
The Winery brush fire broke out near Agua Dulce Monday, prompting a response from firefighters.
The brush fire, dubbed the Winery Fire, was first reported to firefighters around 12 p.m. Monday on Agua Dulce Canyon Road near Sierra Highway in Agua Dulce, said Sean Ferguson, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of 12:15 p.m., the fire is currently burning in medium fuels with no structures threatened, according to Fire officials.
UPDATE (3:00 p.m.): The fire affected three-fourths of an acre of land, according to Franklin Lopez, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Forward progression of the fire was stopped at approximately 12:39 p.m. after 25 minutes on-scene, according to Los Angeles County Fire officials.

L.A. County Reports Under 540 New COVID-19 Cases, Three Deaths Easter Sunday
Los Angeles County reported under 540 new coronavirus cases and only three deaths on Easter Sunday.
As vaccinations continue to become more readily available, Los Angeles County residents are seeing a major decrease in COVID-19 hospitalizations, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LADPH).
As of Sunday, there were 535 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in L.A. County, 27 percent of which were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
“The declining number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is a very encouraging trend and reflects the significant decrease in community transmission we experienced a few weeks back,” said LADPH Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer Saturday. “We will continue to make progress slowing transmission, preventing suffering, and saving lives when we all do our part to keep each other safe by following the rules and getting vaccinated when it is our turn.”
Valencia Containment Set Up By SCV Sheriff After Burglary Call
A Valencia containment was set up by members of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Saturday after a burglary call led law enforcement to shut down Cinema Drive.
Around 8 a.m. Saturday, emergency responders received reports of a possible burglary on the 23300 block of Cinema Drive in Valencia, according to Deputy Madrano with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
“It is a containment, it is not considered a barricade at this point,” Madrano said. “It appears that two suspects are still outstanding.”
