By TJ Photo: Winona Volunteer Services/Facebook WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Winona Volunteer Services is planning another food drop at the Fastenal Customer Experience Center.   Executive Director Sandra Burke says distribution will begin shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday, May 28. Burke said Channel One Foodbank informed the food shelf the federal program providing the food for the drops was sunsetting.  “We do not at this point anticipate further drops this summer,” Burke said. “Once again things may change but to my knowledge, this will be the last one.”   The Fastenal Customer Experience Center is located near the intersection of Highways 14 and 61. Volunteers will hand out roughly 600 boxes with dairy, produce, and protein items to anyone who arrives.

To their credit, the Victorian government has established such a commission. It is to be hoped that all other jurisdictions will follow suit.

The Sydney Morning Herald 190th birthday: Letters from readers and subscribers

The Sydney Morning Herald is a home. It opens its front door and we know we will be nourished with knowledge and involvement. The loneliness disappears and we find friends on each page as the stories fill our hearts. We are left overjoyed with news of someone once lost but now found. We are educated in complicated finance, made aware of real estate, technology and environmental issues; everything is there. Thank you Herald for the education, the political and sport coverage and other stories, the complicated puzzles, editorials, for it all. And for being a clever, kind friend. Happy birthday.
