WINONA, Minn. (KWNO)-Winona Volunteer Services is planning another food drop at the Fastenal Customer Experience Center.
Executive Director Sandra Burke says distribution will begin shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday, May 28. Burke said Channel One Foodbank informed the food shelf the federal program providing the food for the drops was sunsetting.
“We do not at this point anticipate further drops this summer,” Burke said. “Once again things may change but to my knowledge, this will be the last one.”
The Fastenal Customer Experience Center is located near the intersection of Highways 14 and 61. Volunteers will hand out roughly 600 boxes with dairy, produce, and protein items to anyone who arrives.
