TS Govt Speeds Up Work On Telangana s Second Longest Flyover Uppal Elevated Corridor Feb 27, 2021, 11:03 IST
The state government is working hard to complete the Uppal Elevated Corridor, Telangana s second longest flyover. The Roads and Buildings department wants to finish the elevated corridor in this year. The 6.2 km long structure is the second longest flyover in Telangana after the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway, which stretches over 11.6 km.
The government is spending nearly Rs 675 crore and the main aim in constructing this corridor is to decongest the traffic towards the Warangal highway and thereby a smooth way would be provided to the locals of Uppal. The 45-metre wide six-lane corridor begins at Uppal Junction and ends at the Central Power Research Institute, Medipally.

Body of a four year-old girl was found in a field in UP, Shahjahanpur after she and her cousin went missing while playing. The incident took place in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Two girls were playing outside their house, when they suddenly went missing.
The family tried searching for the girls and later took locals help. The village locals and the family went on a search for the girls. They found the body of the younger girl (4 year-old) in a mustard field. Later police were informed about the same and they went to search for the second girl. The other cousin was found in the sugarcane field in a serious condition.
On Feb 22 at about 6pm, Sri Bellana Bhaskar Rao, Sub-Inspector of Police of SR Nagar Police Station, Hyderabad city was caught red handed by ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) when he demanded and accepted a bribe. In a road accident two people were killed and two others were in critical condition. The accident took place near Malayalapally railway over-bridge of Ramagundam mandal on the early hours of Tuesday.
According to the reports, the accident took place due to overspeed of the vehicle. The car overturned and fell in the middle of the divider. The deceased have been identified as Kotha Rambabu and Kotha Srinivas whereas the two others, Santhosh and car driver sustained serious injuries. They have been rushed to the Karimnagar district headquarters hospital. After receiving the information about the accident, police rushed to the spot.

In another shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh, a 5 year-old was allegedly raped. The incident took place in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh where a 26 year-old man allegedly raped a 5 year-old girl. The minor later came home with blood stains on her clothes.
The police arrested the accused identified as Nazim. He runs a small shop near the victim’s house. The girl would regularly go to the shop to buy chocolates and other stuff. One day when she had gone to buy chocolates, the owner told her he would give her candies and took her into a room where he raped her.
