Norman William Proebstel
Norm Proebstel, 93, passed away peacefully at home Feb. 18, 2021, with his family close by.
Norm was born in Redding, California. His father was a teacher and his mother stayed at home with the children.
During part of his childhood the family lived in a tent during the Great Depression.
Norm had a life full of adventure and importance. For most of his work life he was a communications engineer connecting U.S. embassies with their headquarters at home via satellite. He
worked on the telemetry of the Apollo flights. His work took him around the world – he claimed 47 countries – and generated many colorful stories with which he entertained countless friends and family.
Thomas Hardy

Tom Hardy, beloved husband, father, poppa and servant of the Lord, passed away Feb. 16, 2021, at the age of 90. He was born on Feb. 14, 1931, in Bellwood, Illinois, to Aaron and Laura Hardy. Tom was one of 12 children and grew up in Cabool, Missouri.
Shortly after high school, he traveled to California to assist with fighting fires and then joined the Air Force. He gave 20 years of military service working on B-52 and FB-111 planes.
After military service, Tom returned to school, obtained a Bachelor’s degree and
Teaching Certificate at California State University, Stanislaus.
He dedicated the next 23 years working in Christian Education. ‘Mr. Hardy’ was Administrator of Solano Christian Academy for 18 years.
Bobie Ledford

Bobie “Chester” Chism Ledford was born in Thalia, Texas, on Feb. 8, 1934. He passed away at home in Fairfield, California, on Dec. 26, 2020, after a short illness. Bob felt that his family was always the most important thing to him.
He was raised in Fairfield and always loved his life in Fairfield.
After graduation from Armijo High School, Bob became a sergeant in the Marines.
He married JoAnne McMahon in 1958. The family lived in California and Arizona and moved to back to Fairfield in 1965.
Bob and JoAnne owned and operated ABC Sheet Metal Company with his brothers and father for many years. Bob then worked for Solano County and was instrumental in the development of the first cogeneration plant and the modernization of the HVAC units in Solano County. During their work years, Bob and JoAnne traveled to several countries and in retirement, they traveled the USA in their RV.
Lloyd ‘Gunny’ Dashner

GySgt Ret. USMC, Lloyd Franklin Dashner, a resident of Suisun City for 37 years, unexpectedly passed away on Dec 22, 2020.
Lloyd was born in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, on Dec 28, 1942, to Lloyd Everett Dashner and Kathryn Lucy Passineau Dashner while his father was stationed there in the Army.
While Lloyd was a toddler, the family returned to Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, their hometown, where Lloyd grew up. As a child, Lloyd made money by collecting newspapers, picking crops,
selling greeting cards and working on a farm.
After Lloyd turned 17 on Dec 28, 1959, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and left Wisconsin in January 1960.
