Sarpy County will ceremonially break ground on the new County Correctional Center next Monday morning in a ceremony not open to the public.
Representatives from the five Sarpy County cities and law enforcement agencies in the County will be in attendance.
The 150,000 square feet facility will be on the courthouse campus in Papillion in the parking lot of the current Sarpy County Jail, northeast of 84th and Nebraska Highway 370.

After removing Brian Zuger from the job this week, the Sarpy County Board looks for applicants to serve as County Treasurer.
The appointed Treasurer will complete the current term, which ends in December, 2022.
Applicants must be a Sarpy County resident.
The Treasurer oversees a staff of 25 with a $1.9 million office budget.
He or she controls the internal operations of the office subject to budget oversight from the County Board.
The salary for the Sarpy County Treasurer is $102,301.
Applicants must submit a letter of interest, resume and three references to the Sarpy County Clerk via email to clerk@sarpy.com, or deliver via mail or in person to the Sarpy County Clerk’s Office at 1210 Golden Gate Drive, Papillion, NE 68046.

A spokesperson says the Board of Commissioners sets a hearing date of April 13th to discuss the removal of County Treasurer Brian Zuger, who has 20 days to respond to the formal notice.
If he does, he can appear at the hearing to present evidence in his defense.
The board will vote on his removal at the end of the hearing, which is set for 9 a.m.
Zuger is accused of mismanaging 12 million dollars in public funds.
