More Peace region residents receive COVID-19 vaccine

COVID-19 vaccination rates for ages 55+ in B.C. as of May 10th. (BC CDC) For residents 55 and older, vaccination rates are between 41 per cent to 60 per cent in the North Peace, and between 61 per cent to 80 per cent in the South Peace. Fort Nelson vaccination rates are on par with Peace River North reporting between 21 to 40 per cent for adults and more than 41 per cent for those 55 and older. Northeast B.C. continues to have one of the highest positivity testing rates in the province, exceeding 10 per cent. Positivity rates for those tested for the COVID-19 virus across northeast B.C. from May 4 to 10 ranged between 10 per cent to 20 per cent.
