For residents 55 and older, North Peace vaccination rates sit at 57 per cent, again, the lowest in the province. Both the South Peace and Fort Nelson sit at 63 per cent.
Northeast B.C. continues to have one of the highest positivity testing rates in the province, with the North Peace, South Peace and Fort Nelson sitting between 10 to 16 per cent.
Northern Health is accepting drop-ins at the vaccine clinic in Dawson Creek. The Encana Events Centre will be open to drop-ins from May 17th to 21st and May 25th to 30th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fort St. John was identified as a COVID-19 hot spot by the provincial health officer earlier this month, which prompted the health region to accelerate vaccinations.

For residents 55 and older, vaccination rates are between 41 per cent to 60 per cent in the North Peace, and between 61 per cent to 80 per cent in the South Peace.
Fort Nelson vaccination rates are on par with Peace River North reporting between 21 to 40 per cent for adults and more than 41 per cent for those 55 and older.
Northeast B.C. continues to have one of the highest positivity testing rates in the province, exceeding 10 per cent.
Positivity rates for those tested for the COVID-19 virus across northeast B.C. from May 4 to 10 ranged between 10 per cent to 20 per cent.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C – Northern Health is accepting drop-ins at the vaccine clinic in Dawson Creek.
The Encana Events Centre will be open to drop-ins until May 14th and May 17th to 21st from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dawson Creek was identified as a high-priority community in early April after recording the highest case count per 100,000 population on a 7-day average. The city had a rate of 552.31 per 100,000, which was the highest in the province. As a result, Northern Health accelerated its vaccine program in the city to accept anyone 18 and older. ),whenLoaded(initFlexitive);

Anyone who didn’t register can do so by going to the Get Vaccinated website, phoning the provincial call centre at 1 833 838-2323, or in person at the nearest Service BC location.
The province says 43 per cent of B.C,’s eligible target population, 4.3 million, have received their first dose.
In the Northern Health region, Fort St. John and area is currently accepting bookings for anyone age 40+ and Indigenous adults. Clinics are running from May 4th to 7th at Totem Mall.
Dawson Creek vaccine bookings are open to those 18 and older with clinics running from May 11th to 14th, May 17th to 21st and May 25th to 28th at the Encana Events Centre.
