The Encana Events Centre will be open to drop-ins from May 17th to 21st and May 25th to 30th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fort St. John was identified as a COVID-19 hot spot by the provincial health officer earlier this month, which prompted the health region to accelerate vaccinations.

COVID-19 vaccination rates for ages 55+ in B.C. as of May 10th. Positivity rates for those tested for the COVID-19 virus across northeast B.C. from May 4 to 10 ranged between 10 per cent to 20 per cent.

Dawson Creek COVID-19 vaccine clinic accepting drop-ins

(stock) DAWSON CREEK, B.C – Northern Health is accepting drop-ins at the vaccine clinic in Dawson Creek. The Encana Events Centre will be open to drop-ins until May 14th and May 17th to 21st from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dawson Creek was identified as a high-priority community in early April after recording the highest case count per 100,000 population on a 7-day average. The city had a rate of 552.31 per 100,000, which was the highest in the province. COVID-19 vaccine bookings open to all British Columbians 40+ next week
