Lenovo APAC picks social media for 12 market duties Details 18 June 2021 Lenovo Asia Pacific has reappointed social media agency SocialGrooves.com as the support hub for all 12 of the APAC markets:  Australia and New Zealand, India, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. The pitch was held in Feburary to March earlier this year and the appointment will last until April 2022.Securing the social hub account for the second year in a row, SocialGrooves.com will seek to provide a social media strategy and coordination that increases engagement rate while further coordinating this strategy at the APAC level. It will also aim to amplify Lenovo’s vision and messaging through proposed social media strategies and reporting.

Research can continue on campus with permission

PETALING JAYA: Research activities can continue on campus during the full lockdown but under strict standard operating procedure and with special permission granted by department heads. The Higher Education Ministry said these activities should only be done if absolutely necessary and on a solo basis. It said students living off-campus and engaged in research activities requiring laboratory facilities and special equipment need to obtain a letter of permission to enter and exit the campus from their respective higher education institution (HEI). The ministry also said all teaching and learning (PdP) activities would be done online for all students, whether on or off-campus.

Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) deputy vice-chancellor (student affairs and alumni) Prof Dr Arifin Abdu said UPM has arranged for more than 20 buses to take 1,400 students back to their hometowns or to the airport. “This is to accommodate students whose parents are unable to get them from campus and do not have their own transport, ” he added.
