The Then India Sanmarga Ikya Sangam (TISI Sangam) has supported members facing difficulties.
President Sadasivan Naicker said the initiative began in the Western Division.
“Last week, we thought of the people from the Southern Division who have been in lockdown for past 7-8 weeks,” said Mr Naicker.
“We thought of assisting Suva Sangam members with 1000 food packs.
“Same we did for Nasinu Sangam. “And we also gave 40 packs of food rations to our Navua members.
“We are now planning to do the same this week for the members in Rewa district.

Teacher in STC Yasa-affected schools should be commended for their commitment in preparing facilities for the new academic term.
The Fiji Teachers Union general secretary Agni Deo Singh said such commitment reflected the teachers’ dedication in ensuring that students received the best this academic year.
“Some teachers are staying in tents as well because the cyclone has affected their quarters and we must thank them for the wonderful job in preparing the facilities for the new year,” he said.
