The first one is a rare disease and the other an outrageously expensive medicine for its treatment which costs Rs 22crore. And the afflicted person is his only daughter, Ishani, who is just 18 months old now. Life has not been easy on Verma. He was already tiding over the challenges posed by Rs 25,000 a month salary in a Delhi firm, when “Ishani had come as a breather”.
It didn’t last long though.
