Quincy Jenkins The Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga announced Thursday that Matthew Brandon, vice president of PlayCore Surfacing Group, Kyle Eiselstein, partner at Miller Martin, and Quincy Jenkins, executive director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Chattanooga State Community College have been elected to the Club’s board of directors. We are pleased to welcome Matt, Kyle and Quincy to the Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga board at this critical stage of our evolution,” said LaTonya Lyons, board chair. “As highly respected and seasoned executives with valuable leadership experience and community connections, we look forward to Matthew, Kyle and Quincy’s engagement and assistance in guiding our objectives of building great futures for Chattanooga youth.”

Now spanning four generations, the T.U. Parks Construction Company continues to stress the importance of education. Current Chairman and CEO Larry Parks and Senior Project Manager Robert Parks remember the words from company founder and grandfather, T.U. Parks, who said, “never stop learning.” The company has established a $50,000 T.U. Parks Construction Company Endowed Scholarship through the Chattanooga State Foundation.

Thursday, March 4: The Chattanooga State Symphonic Band, directed by Nicholas Hartline, will present an evening of band literature themed, “Diversity,” featuring female composers, composers of color, and individuals from the LGBTQIA community. The Chattanooga State Faculty Fellows program recognizes and supports innovative faculty who develop and implement academic projects that support scholarship and promote student success. Chattanooga State Faculty Fellowships are named for former faculty members and/or administrators who demonstrated outstanding scholarship and dedication to teaching and learning.
The Faculty Fellows Committee reviewed the proposals submitted for the 2020-2021 academic year and named three faculty members as recipients.
