On the intervening night of November 4 last year, he tried to secretly enter his girlfriend’s house to meet her. The girl’s parents, however, caught him. They threatened to inform his family about it. After this, Meghwal, fearing infamy, crossed into Pakistani territory. What followed was a futile search for him by his family members for over 11 days.
