Fair housing webinar set April 29
Pathways to Success will sponsor a free virtual town hall to discuss fair housing issues from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 29. To register, go to pathways-2-success.org/events. The purpose is to raise awareness about the continued presence of housing discrimination and how people can work to fix it. Topics include the importance of the Fair Housing Act, Delaware’s Landlord & Tenant Code, housing legislation and policy, and housing advocacy. For details, email dscott@pathways-2-success.org.
Milton BoA meeting canceled
Milton Board of Adjustment has canceled its Tuesday, April 27 meeting due to a lack of agenda items. The board is next scheduled to meet Tuesday, May 25.
STAFF at a primary school are set to take strike action over plans to convert the school to an academy. The decision comes after the Interim Executive Board, which has run Peacehaven Primary School since 2019, put forward plans to hold a consultation on academy conversion this autumn. National Education Union (NEU) members at the school will take strike action on Wednesday, May 5. A survey found that two thirds of the school’s staff said they would be “likely or very likely to leave” if the school was converted into an academy, according to the East Sussex NEU. The proposed strike action is the latest move in an ongoing row over the school’s leadership.
Infrastructure is continuing to trade strongly, with operational delivery and work mix driving further margin growth.
Construction had a strong start to the year, with its secured order book at the end of March up 10% from December, and is expected to improve further.
Fit Out reported a very strong trading period and its secured order book at the end of March was 18% higher than in December, while it also has over £400mln of work currently at preferred bidder stage.
Morgan Sindall said the division s full-year results are estimated to be “materially” ahead of its medium-term target of £35mln operating profit.

Dewey budget committee to meet
The Dewey Beach Budget and Finance Committee will meet virtually at 4 p.m., Friday, April 23, to discuss the budget performance for the 2021 fiscal year, the newly approved 2022 fiscal year budget and the hotel lodging tax, as well as new revenue stream opportunities for the town. Rehoboth BofA meeting canceled
The Rehoboth Beach Board of Adjustment meeting scheduled for Monday, April 26, has been canceled due to a lack of agenda items. The next board of adjustment meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 24.
