The Rotary Club of Ridgefield recently renewed its support for RVNAhealth with a $7,000 grant to support the organization’s COVID-19 community response initiatives.
RVNAhealth has been vaccinating the public since January 11th and has distributed nearly 15,000 vaccines to date. The funds will be used to help cover the tremendous costs associated with vaccine administration and running the clinic at Yanity Gym.
“RVNAhealth is very fortunate to receive this grant from The Rotary Club of Ridgefield, a portion of which was matched by Rotary District 7980,” shares MJ Heller, Director of Philanthropy at RVNAhealth. “We have incurred a significant amount of unbudgeted expenses throughout this pandemic and the response from The Rotary Club has been truly amazing. World War II and its Aftermath in Europe is a Ridgefield Continuing Education history seminar led by veteran history teacher, Nancy Maxwell, talks about the terms of the Treaty of Versailles that ended World War I, to the political appeasement of the 1930s, financial crises, social upheavals, and rise of fascism and communism. The Rotary Club of Ridgefield is having an online raffe with a livestreamed drawing New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, at 2 p.m. instead of its Taste of Ridgefield event, which had to be canceled because of COVID-19 restrictions.

On December 28, 2020, Donald Eugene Vallerie Sr., 85, passed away peacefully at the end of a long and blessed life surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Ann (Hutchinson) Vallerie.
Born August 12th, 1935 in Norwalk, CT, Donald was the 3rd son of Ida (Lockwood) and John E. Vallerie Sr. of Rowayton, CT.
Donald will be remembered with much love. In the early 1960’s Donald fell in love and then married the love of his life, Ann Hutchinson. He is survived by Ann, his wife of 58 years, and their children: Donald E. Vallerie Jr., Paul E. Vallerie and his wife, Carmen, Sarah Vallerie, Clarissa Burrows and her husband, Paul and Jennifer Kravec and her husband, Vincent. In addition, Donald is survived by 5 grandchildren: Jessica Vallerie, Cassandra and Kyle Burrows and George and Julianne Kravec, several nieces and nephews as well as a sister, Linda Iseley.
