Feelings of nostalgia percolate up from time to time in ways that are uncommon for me. January of 2021 marked 31 years I’ve been a member of the Rotary Club of Picton. The milestone passed with only the faces of Rotarians on the screen (we meet by zoom) so it was a different year. I grew up in a household of volunteers. My grandmother, Mabel Blackburn, was a member of the Rebekah Lodge here in Picton and while I mostly thought that meant making food for events, I know that the Lodge has always served the community well.
