India News: PANAJI: The Goa bench of Bombay high court on Wednesday issued notice to Tehelka founder-editor Tarun Tejpal in the Goa government’s appeal challengin.
The Goa bench of the Bombay High Court on Wednesday observed that the sessions court's judgment acquitting journalist Tarun Tejpal in a 2013 rape case was like a "manual for rape victims" as it goes into how a victim should respond in such cases.
The Bombay high court at Goa admitted the appeal by the state government, and a notice has been issued to Tarun Tejpal. The matter will be heard on June 24.
