Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said the case, who attended the Byron Bay party, had been in self-isolation and there was no risk to the community. “This case is linked to the second Brisbane cluster that originated from a Princess Alexandra Hospital nurse, taking the total number of cases linked to that cluster to 13,” she said. “As this person had attended the party where COVID-19 spread to a number of people, they were placed into self-isolation at home and a testing routine commenced.

Update 4 – Sunday, April 11 at 12.30pm Police with the assistance of volunteers from the State Emergency Service (SES) have today, continued their search for missing 69-year-old Cleveland man, Anthony Roper. Anthony Roper (pictured below) was last seen on March 19 outside a Cleveland service station at the intersection of Princess and Bloomfield street. At the time, Anthony was wearing blue jeans, thongs and a shirt with dark stripes. He is described as Caucasian, around 180cm tall, of a large build, is bald, has blue eyes and a slightly grey beard. Multiple police and approximately 70 SES personnel searched through bushland, water ways and neighbourhoods in the Redland Bay, Thornlands and Cleveland areas.
