Forecasts from the National Weather Service still show significant ice accumulations. Most of Pittsylvania County is projected to see somewhere between half and three-quarters of an inch of accumulated ice.
White mildew, putrid odor, ‘filth’ on the wall: Lancaster County restaurant inspections

The following Lancaster County restaurants were found to have violated Pennsylvania’s health and safety regulations during inspections between Jan. 10-16.
Inspections are overseen by the Department of Agriculture. The department notes that in many cases violations are corrected by the restaurant before inspectors leave.

Violations: Deli department is using chlorine sanitizer at an extremely high concentration of 200+ppm, not approved in the code of federal regulations for food contact sanitizing at this level. A working container of sanitizer was stored on the same shelf with single service articles in the back preparation area of the deli.
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Warehouse area: The door behind the freezer is rusted through at the bottom leaving a hole and does not protect against the entry of rodents and insects. Produce preparation room: Single-service, single-use articles (to-go containers) stored directly on the floor and not 6 inches above the floor.
