Looking forward to day when masks area a thing of the past | News, Sports, Jobs

NORA EDINGER For the Sunday News-Register WHEELING The day will come when it is possible to go to school or to the grocery store without a mask, which begs an interesting question. What will happen to all these colorful scraps of fabric and elastic when COVID is contained? “Some people are going to be so excited to not wear a mask, they’re going to want to burn it,” joked Kara Yenkevich, curator for the Museums of Oglebay Institute. “You’ve got to have celebration like the memes of people turning them into hamster hammocks.” But, if history tells us anything, she said it’s equally possible that some masks will make their way into museum archives. Family shares fond memories of late Barbudan, Lincoln Burton Spread the love Lincoln Jefferson Burton was a husband, father, grandfather and a man who many called a great Barbudan because of his contribution towards the development of the sister isle. Burton, a former Barbuda Council member, died suddenly on December 16, 2020 after he complained of feeling unwell. His son, Courtney Burton, said his father’s death was “shocking”, even though his family knew he was suffering from chronic non-communicable diseases. “He suffered from hypertension and diabetes but his death was shocking and pretty sudden,” he admitted.
