HANFORD â Fallen officers were remembered while those currently serving were given gratitude at a ceremony for Kings County law enforcement on Wednesday morning.
Sunday marked the beginning of National Police Week. As is the custom in Kings County, the memorial marked the week s half-way point. Corcoran Police Chief Gary Cramer gave the opening remarks at the Kings County Government Center.
âTodayâs an opportunity for us to remember the sacrifice of the seven men whose names are on the memorial behind me,â Cramer said. âAnd the sacrifice made by all the fallen officers in California during 2020.â
Members of the Hanford, Lemoore and Corcoran departments, along with the Kings County Sheriffâs office, Kings County District Attorneyâs Office and California Highway Patrol were in attendance for the event, which also included a 21-gun salute performed by personnel from Naval Air Station Lemoore.
Adventist Health provides vaccines to all Kings County law enforcement agencies
KFSN
FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) The Hanford Police Department, like many law enforcement agencies, has been hit hard by COVID-19.
So Captain Karl Anderson knew they needed to make the vaccine available to their officers as soon as possible.
In his persistent pursuit of that goal, Anderson made at least 20 or 30 calls, but didn t get the answer he was looking for until he connected with a recently retired Adventist Health employee. And I m like, Hey, can you get me in touch with someone that can help? Anderson recalled. He got me in touch with Ed. I thank God for having friends that care about law enforcement and having connections and serving the community to where Adventist is willing to step up and help us. Honestly, they have.
