Traffic stop yields meth bust

Three people were booked into Kings County Jail for felony drug possession after a deputy pulled over a suspect’s car in rural Hanford, according to the Kings County Sheriff s Office.  On Tuesday evening, a Kings County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 BMW near the intersection of Hanford-Armona Road and Jones Street, when it was determined that the vehicle had a mechanical violation. According to an official media release by the Sheriff’s Office, two of the vehicle’s occupants were active on Kings County Probation and thus subject to a search by a peace officer.

Month-long investigation ends in Hanford gun, drug bust

Three suspects were taken into custody after a gun and drug bust in Hanford, according to authorities.  Last Thursday, Kings County Major Crimes Task Force investigators concluded a month-long investigation into illegal firearms possession and narcotics trafficking by serving a search warrant in the 9200 block of 12th Ave. Inside the residence, Kings County Major Crimes Task Force investigators seized six rifles which included assault rifles, such as an AK-47 with a drum-fed magazine, one shotgun, eight handguns and approximately 6,200 rounds of various caliber ammunition. Investigators also seized 9.5 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, 5,100 grams of concentrated cannabis edibles, six ounces of concentrated cannabis wax, 11.5 ounces of marijuana and several thousand dollars in cash.

Hanford PD arrests Visalia detective on charges of domestic abuse, DUI

Hanford Police Department arrested a Visalia detective Wednesday on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence and DUI, according to Kings County booking records. Samantha Adney was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday, booked into the Kings County Jail at 7:30 a.m. and released roughly three hours later, according to the booking record. While the records show the domestic abuse charge carried a $15,000 bail, she was released on citation, meaning she was issued a citation and released without paying bail under a promise to appear in court later, according to the Kings County Sheriff’s Department.
