Trooper 1LT Jake Spelce, a Platoon Leader in Comanche Troop, 6-9 CAV. was highlighted by Fort Hood on the 1st Cavalry Division Facebook page after he demonstrated, Exemplary care for his Trooper while the Trooper was in a life-threatening situation, the post said.
Spelce’s Trooper reached out to him after midnight and threatened to commit suicide. Spelce remained on the phone, calmly talked with his Trooper and went to the Trooper’s home while he stayed on the phone, the post said.
