Minchinhampton man wins Best of England competition with North Nibley photo

A navy chef from Minchinhampton has won Best of England’s Cotswolds and Gloucestershire Photography Competition with a summer snap of North Nibley. When Josh Adamms enter the competition set up by the independent travel guide company, he thought his confirmation email might be the last he heard of it. The self-described amateur photographer had no idea he would come out on top, with his picture printed in their brochure and a small cash prize. The winning picture of North Nibley taken by Josh Adamms “I could not believe it. There were so many strong images so when mine was picked I was overwhelmed, really happy and excited at the same time,” he said.

The brains behind the scheme is Vera Lyra Oliveira Dos Santos, who began working in FFord racing in the UK in 2020. The inaugural Team Brazil scholar will get three pre-event test days before they drive for Swift Cooper, the factory Swift team, in the 2021 FFord Festival. Luke Cooper, son of team boss Alan, won last year’s Castle Combe FF1600 title.
