Five killed in ‘police encounters’ in three months
Police personnel remain unhurt in these incidents

Five suspected criminals were killed in different police encounters in the region during the past three months.
In February, a police encounter was reported in the area of Saddar Kamonki police station where CIA received a tip that some robbers were fleeing after a robbery. As soon as police intercepted them near a toll plaza, fire was opened, in which one of the suspected dacoits was shot.
Another alleged police encounter took place near the Nowshera Wirkan police station after Yasir alias Yasiri escaped from custody.
3 kidnappers arrested, abducted child recovered

GUJRANWALA: Police have arrested three kidnappers and recovered a child from their custody.
Subhan Nadeem, 11, was missing from Kot Ladha police station limits for the last 10 days. Later, the alleged kidnappers called the mother of the child and demanded Rs 2 million ransom for the release of the child.
After receiving the information about the incident, the police started investigation and traced the accused persons through their phone call.
Later, the police raided and arrested accused Saqib, Abu Sufiyan and Hamza and recovered the abducted child.
Dacoit killed during police ‘encounter’

GUJRANWALA: A dacoit was killed during a police ‘encounter’ at Kot Ladha on Saturday.
Reportedly, some armed persons snatched cash and a motorcycle from a citizen and trying to flee from the spot. After receiving the information, a police party started chasing the accused persons.
On seeing the police, the dacoits opened fire at the police, which was retaliated. As a result, one dacoit who was later identified as Yasir was killed on the spot. The accused was involved in various dacoity and theft incidents.
