J&K youth to work hard to achieve their goals: GOC Kilo Force HS Sahi

BARAMULLA: General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Kilo Force HS Sahi Saturday said that the youth are an important part of Jammu and Kashmir and they have to be part of development in UT.
The GOC was speaking at a function organized by the army with civil participation at Sharifabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The GoC Kilo Force said that the youth are an important part of Jammu and Kashmir and they have to be part of the development in the UT and must work hard in whatever field they’re to achieve their dreams and take Jammu and Kashmir forward.

SRINAGAR, Dec 30: Four days after the J&K Police indicted an Army Captain and two of his “local informers” in a detailed charge-sheet for a fake encounter of three labourers in Shopian in July last, families of “three militants killed in an encounter” on the outskirts of Srinagar today have alleged that their sons were innocent.
Security forces on Wednesday claimed three local militants were killed in an encounter at Lawaypora on the outskirts of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.

The families of three ‘militants’ who were killed in a gunfight with the security forces in Hokersar area on the outskirts of Srinagar staged a protest on Wednesday, claiming that their kin had no link with the militancy.
The police and the army have claimed that the trio were militants who refused to surrender during a gunfight that raged since last evening in Hokersar area.
Srinagar: General officer Commanding (GoC) of Army’s Kilo Force, H S Sahi Wednesday said that the three militants killed in the gunfight at Lawaypora on Srinagar outskirts were planning “a big strike on the highway to gain publicity”.
Addressing a joint press conference at 2 RR headquarters at Zainakote, HMT, Srinagar, Sahi said that the identity of the slain trio is being ascertained and also the militant organisation they were affiliated with.
The GoC Kilo Force said that since the “past many days, intelligence inputs were pouring in continuously” about the movement of militants on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway.
On Tuesday, the Army developed leads and came to know that militants are hiding in a house right opposite to Noora hospital at Lawaypora in HMT area, Sahi said.
