COLUMBUS, Ohio The City of Columbus is mourning the loss of one of its employees.
Tearicka Cradle was shot and killed inside her northeast Columbus home early Sunday morning.
Police say it happened in the 2000 block of Jane Avenue.
Former Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman told 10TV Cradle was loved by many.
“Tearicka Cradle is an.inspirational example of someone who fell down in life, but climbed back up,” Coleman said. “Everyone looked up to her because they knew that if she could do it, we could do it.

CLEVELAND With Rob Portman set to retire from the Unites States Senate in 2022, several names have been bandied about as possible contenders for the Ohio Republican s soon-to-be-open seat. Now, it appears a prominent local businessman is looking to join the fray.
The Wall Street Journal reports Cleveland area entrepreneur and car dealership owner Bernie Moreno will likely enter the race to succeed Portman. The 53-year-old would run as a Republican, and sources say his efforts became more serious after U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan s campaign announced the congressman would not be running for the seat this past week.
Behind the pulpit at First Church of God, Bishop Timothy Clarke uses his booming voice to offer hope, call people to action and emphasize God s vision.
Clarke, senior pastor at the Southeast Side church, has his own vision, too. His is about how to make Columbus the best place to live and raise a family, a dream he first heard voiced by former Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman.
The pastor knows all too well what obstacles he faces. First Church of God hosted the funerals of Casey Goodson Jr. and Andre Hill, two Black men shot and killed by police officers in December. But Clarke says it s important to carry on work that may not be completed in his lifetime.
