Columbus homicide detectives have identified a woman whose body was discovered Tuesday afternoon by a maintenance worker in a South Side apartment unit.
Felecia Lane, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene about five minutes after police and Columbus fire medics were called at 2:15 p.m. to her apartment in the 2100 block of Winslow Drive in the Columbus Park apartments off Alum Creek Drive.
The circumstances at the scene led police to believe Lane s death was suspicious in nature, and homicide detectives were notified and responded. Detectives have since ruled her death as a homicide, said Sgt. James Marable.
Police have not released information about the manner of Lane s death, nor whether a suspect has been identified. It is also unclear how long she had been dead before her body was found.
