DULUTH, Minn.- It’s the summer of comebacks for event venues with private events like weddings getting planned and booked again across the Northland. New venues like Canal Park’s The Garden, and historic ones like Greysolon Ballroom are jumping back into planning.
“It almost feels surreal to be back,” said Brian Daugherty, President of Grandma’s Restaurant Company. “To tell you the truth just with the marathon happening last week it was just like again a just a giant reunion.”

There has been a demand, among fans of a certain Louisiana-style pop-up restaurant working out of the kitchen at Zeitgeist Arts Cafe, to bring out the beignets.
Consider it done.
Robert Lee, the southern-raised creative behind Gumbo Boi, is serving a one-day-only brunch as part of the upcoming offerings for Eat Downtown the Greater Downtown Council’s take on restaurant week and the French powder sugar covered donuts are on the menu alongside crepes, shrimp and grits, and po’boys.
Glensheen Mansion always has super fun events all year long and every Wednesday in March you can enjoy the grounds outside with Fire and Ice. The event is FREE from 5:00-8:30pm giving you the chance to explore the beautiful grounds in the winter.
The event is is great for adults and families. Feel free to walk, hike or plant a chair around the fire. They also have snowshoes of all sizes even for kids. With 12 acres to explore you and your friends and family can enjoy the warmer weather of March while still enjoying being outside. Guests are also welcome to bring their own snowshoes and the grounds are ideal because it mostly a flat surface.
