But little information about this vehicle was provided at the time. Now, just weeks later, the Scorpion is arriving in dealers. Offered in limited batches of just 250 units per month and built exclusively for the U.S. market. It is expected to sell out quickly and is available on the GT2 FWD and AWD variants in three colors - Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, and Ceramic Silver.

IRVINE, Calif., May 18, 2021 /PRNewswire/ The all-new 2022 Kia EV6 crossover arrives as the brand s first dedicated battery electric vehicle (BEV). The introduction of EV6 signals the U.S. launch of Kia s Plan S strategy that will deliver 11 all-new electrified models across the world by 2026.

All-new EV6 is Kia s first dedicated EV and signals the beginning of the brand s transformative Plan S electrification strategy.
World s first 800V multi-charging architecture provides Kia s EV6 with ultra-fast DC charging capability from 10-80 percent charge (up to 210 miles range) in under 18 minutes.
As part of its rebranding effort, Kia’s American arm will change its name from ‘Kia Motors America’ to ‘Kia America’, while ‘Kia North America’ replaces ‘Kia Motors North America”.
The move is part of the brand’s Plan Shift (sometimes referred to as Plan S). The $25 billion strategy aims to add sustainable mobility, delivery vehicles, personal mobility to its global repertoire and will see Kia launch 11 new electric vehicles around the world.
That part of the plan is expected to start soon for Kia America, as it revealed today that its version of the 300-mile electric EV6 will be hitting U.S. roads early next year, with orders for the First Edition opening in June.
