A woman and two children were killed and two other people were injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Sumter County.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said that 35-year-old Ciarra Dalton Stephens and two children, ages 6 and 7, all of York, died after the 2005 Kia Sedona she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Stephens and the two children were not using seatbelts and were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other passengers were injured and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
The crash occurred at around 6 p.m. on Sumter County 27, about six miles west of York.
