The project officials briefed him about the arrangements taken to protect the project and the workers from any terrorist attack.
IGP Ansari reiterated the government’s pledge to provide foolproof security to Chinese citizens living in Pakistan.
The IGP also met with the Pak Army officers stationed at the project.
The army’s commanding officer briefed the IGP about the progress on the power project and its security.
The IGP directed the police officers to remain in close contact with the Chinese to resolve their security-related issues.
The IGP also directed to install more CCTV cameras at the project site and to supervise all routes leading to it with the help of drone cameras.

NOWSHERA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police, Sanaullah Abbasi said on Friday that those who tried to rob a commercial bank the previous day in the Pabbi town of Nowshera district had links to militants based in Afghanistan.
He was talking to the media after about the health of Head Constable Shakil Khan of the Riders Squad who was injured while foiling the Rs21 million robbery.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mardan, Yaseen Farooq and Nowshera District Police Officer Muhammad Iqbal accompanied the police chief.
A gang of three robbers had stormed a private bank in Pabbi on Thursday. The timely action by the cops and the bank’s security guards had foiled the robbery bid but Head Constable Shakil Khan was injured during the action.

The Swabi Police claimed on Thursday to have arrested two main shooters who of Swat Anti-Terrorism Court Justice Aftab Afridi, his wife and two children on April 4.
According to Swabi DPO Shoaib Khan, both the killers - identified as Muhammad Zakir Shah and Shehzad - had opened indiscriminate fire on the judge’s car near Ambar Interchange in Swabi, brutally martyring the four people.
“Zakir has confessed his crime before the court,” the DPO said, adding that during interrogation, the accused also gave up names of more accomplices.

MANSEHRA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Dr Sanaullah Abbasi visited Police Training School here on Sunday.
He was received by the DIG training, DIG Hazara and district police officer on his arrival at the schools.
The IGP offered fateha at a memorial of martyrs and also planted saplings in the school. He was given a detailed briefing on the curricular and extra-curricular activities of the school in the context of Ramazan and the coronavirus epidemic.
The IGP also met the trainee cops and asked them about any problems and the facilities provided there.
