Peshawar May 8, 2021 NOWSHERA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police, Sanaullah Abbasi said on Friday that those who tried to rob a commercial bank the previous day in the Pabbi town of Nowshera district had links to militants based in Afghanistan. He was talking to the media after about the health of Head Constable Shakil Khan of the Riders Squad who was injured while foiling the Rs21 million robbery. An official of Mardan police was also part of the gang, said Nowshera District Police Officer (DPO) Najamul Hasnain on Sunday. Talking to the media in the federal capital, DPO Hasnain said that the suspects disguised as excise officials had stopped the driver of a private company on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway in the precincts of Nowshera police station and looted Rs10 million from him last Friday.
