The Simpson College softball team hit four home runs to win over Loras 9-1 to earn the series win over the Duhawks. The Storm got home runs from Megan Crockett, Cam Leo, Maddie Luderman, and Taylor Stamm while only allowing four hits in the pitching circle with Taryan Barrick-Wessels earning the win. The Storm improve to 7-8 overall and 5-4 in American Rivers Conference play and will next play rival Central on Thursday.
After nearly two years without competition, the Simpson Storm softball team gets their season started today on the road against Illinois College in a doubleheader. The Storm were unable to get any game action before the season was shut down in 2020, and bring back a talented squad including top pitcher Emily Bell, outfielders Megan Crockett and Cam Leo, infielder Sara Trent, and approximately 30 freshman and sophomore athletes who are waiting to make their college debut. Action starts today at 1pm.
