Committed to connecting mothers throughout Delaware, Ashley Rice has launched Delaware Moms.
This new, local parenting resource will encourage mothers throughout the First State. A mom to seven children, Rice she is thrilled to begin this journey to unite local moms.
“Many of the moms I’ve meet in the area are transplants, and we all struggle to find friends and people who understand us,” said Rice. “I’m excited to provide this new connection point and community for moms.”
A team of writers, all local moms recruited by Rice, will provide insight into their very personal and vastly different journeys.

Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield recently awarded Sussex County Habitat for Humanity a $200,000 grant from BluePrints for the Community to address social determinants of health.
BluePrints for the Community, housed by the Delaware Community Foundation, has contributed more than $17 million to the community since its inception in 2007. It was established to serve Delawareans, with emphasis on, but not limited to, the needs of the uninsured and underserved, and to reduce healthcare disparities in minority populations and address social determinants of health.
Since its inception in 1991, Sussex Habitat has worked toward its vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. As Sussex Habitat moves toward its 30-year anniversary and continues to build affordable homes, it has expanded its neighborhood revitalization services to include home repairs and other new programs to help families stay in place in more energy-efficient, safe homes.
