Preparations are under way for the 2021 fundraiser that will see Centennial Park lit up at night.
Timaru s Centennial Park will come to light as part of a drive-through festival in aid of charity. Proceeds from the Alpine Energy Light up the Night, from Friday to Sunday, will go to South Canterbury Plunket, with tickets almost sold out.

“We want to be there for everyone but be more needs focused. Those without high needs will experience the service in a different way,’’ Todd said. She said over the past few months the organisation has started drop-in clinics, and parenting groups for parents to learn about how to transition developmental milestones, such as their child moving onto solids or toilet training. “We are working more closely with other agencies including Arowhenua Whānau Services, Family Support, Family Start, WAVE (Wellbeing and Vitality in Education), the Tongan Society and Multicultural Aoraki. “We collaborate and offer a work plan of support to offer whānau with complex needs. We also advocate for additional services for the community.”
