Plunket offering more wide ranging support in South Canterbury

“We want to be there for everyone but be more needs focused. Those without high needs will experience the service in a different way,’’ Todd said. She said over the past few months the organisation has started drop-in clinics, and parenting groups for parents to learn about how to transition developmental milestones, such as their child moving onto solids or toilet training. “We are working more closely with other agencies including Arowhenua Whānau Services, Family Support, Family Start, WAVE (Wellbeing and Vitality in Education), the Tongan Society and Multicultural Aoraki. “We collaborate and offer a work plan of support to offer whānau with complex needs. We also advocate for additional services for the community.”
