Kent and Medway Councils plan pilot for digital inclusion in care

Kent County Council and Medway Council are preparing to run a series of pilot projects using digital devices to support health and social care. They have made plans with Cantium Business Solutions for a project to begin next week that will initially focus on three service areas: health visits, maternity services and substance misuse services. It will begin with three months of conducting surveys and collecting insights, following which the councils will begin to loan out devices to people in need for three-month periods, with Cantium providing device configuration, distribution and support assistance. Each device it provides will be preloaded with NHS approved apps.

Black Diamond Police Reports 1-25 to 2-7, 2021 : VOICE of the Valley

On 01/26/2021, an Officer responded to the 23400 block of Windy Ct in reference to a past burglary that occurred at the 32700 block of Ash Ave SE. It was determined that a burglary did take place and there was a theft from the home. On Wednesday, 01/27/2021, Officers were dispatched to the 31500 block of Lake Sawyer RD regarding a motor vehicle theft report from the parking lot of the trail head.  Owner advised he left the keys in the vehicle when he left to go on a hike and when he returned, the vehicle was gone. There are no suspects at this time.  Vehicle information was given to surrounding agencies.

Grand Rapids Woman Remembered For Whooping Cough Vaccine During Black History Month Loney Clinton Gordon was a chemist from Grand Rapids who helped develop a vaccine that saved countless numbers of lives all over the world. Gordon was born in Arkansas in 1915 but moved to Grand Rapids early in her life and would call Michigan home until her death in 1999.  According to an article by Michigan Radio, She went to South High School, and was just a few years younger than Gerald Ford. They both appear in the school’s yearbook in 1931. She later attended Michigan State College (which is now known as Michigan State University) and received her bachelors degree in home economics and chemistry in 1939.  And after she received her degree, she worked for a brief time in Virginia but returned to Michigan to work for the Michigan Department of Health.
