How much time should he be out to make sure its completely healed . Initially hell be in a cast to allow the ligaments to start to heal. He wouldnt put weight on the ankle to allow the cartilage injury or any impact to start to heal. He could potentially be back within two to three months if things go really well, but its a wait and see game on how ligaments heal. This was a noncontact injury.
