Monroe Public Schools goes remote due to COVID spike
Area school districts continue to monitor pandemic, positivity rates
Monroe County’s largest school district has made the decision to briefly convert to all-remote learning after its students return from spring break.
Monroe Public Schools announced students at all of its campuses will switch to online learning April 12-16 due to concerns surrounding rising instances of COVID-19 within its community and the broader county.
The district’s regularly scheduled spring break begins today and ends April 9. Students were originally set to return to in-person learning April 12. That return has been delayed until April 19.
