Farmers protest LIVE Updates: Man allegedly commits suicide at Tikri border, suicide note found
11:36 AM IST: Samyukt Kisan Morcha has suspended two farmer union leaders Harpal Sangha, President Azad Kisan committee (Doaba) and Surjit Singh Phul, Bhartiya Kisan Union (Krantikari) for violating the January 26 tractor march route.
A three-member committee has been formed by the Morcha to probe the allegations. Harpal Sangha has confirmed his suspension on Twitter.
09:58 AM IST: Reacting to BKU leader Rakesh Tikait s statement that the farmer union will sit in protest till October 2, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday took to Twitter to show his solidarity with the decision.
Rakesh Tikait declared that their protest on Delhi's outskirts will continue till October 2 and farmers will return home only after government repeals the acts.
Samyukta Kisan Morcha, which is spearheading the agitation, claimed the chakka jam (road blockade) protest got huge nationwide support which once again "proved" that farmers across the country are united against the farm laws and demanded that the government come up with a fresh proposal for talks.

NEW DELHI: Loud rustic protest songs blared from speakers, the Tricolour fluttered atop trucks and tractors, and commuters mostly waited patiently as farmers blocked the KMP Expressway Saturday as part of their three-hour chakka jam to press their demand of repealing the three new agricultural laws.
