A Moscow man and 2 other suspects were arrested during a major drug bust at the Clearwater River Casino outside Lewiston Wednesday night.
The Quad Cities Drug Task Force’s lengthy investigation began early this month when detectives reportedly bought heroin during a controlled drug buy. Detectives determined the suspect’s dealer was from Torrance California and was staying at the casino hotel.
The task force along with the FBI, Idaho State Police and Nez Perce Tribal Police executed a search warrant on the man’s hotel room. They reportedly found heroin, methamphetamine, scales, packaging materials and over 10,000 dollars in cash. 54-year-old Brad Sawyer of Torrance was arrested for trafficking heroin and meth. 54-year-old Kris Bell of Moscow and 38-year-old John White of Lewiston were also arrested on multiple drug charges stemming from this investigation.

The 38-year-old Lind man convicted by a federal jury of being a major regional drug trafficker has received a lengthy prison sentence.
Christopher Bounds was sentenced to over 26 years in federal prison and placed on probation for a decade this week in U.S. District Court in Idaho. A federal jury convicted bounds on 6 charges in August including conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and heroin and several firearms counts.
Bounds was arrested during a Quad Cities Drug Task Force bust in August of 2018 following a lengthy investigation. He was pulled over on U.S. Highway 95 near Lewiston. Authorities seized 2 pounds of pure meth, a pound of heroin, cash and 16 loaded firearms. The street value of the drugs was estimated at over 32,000 dollars.
