COLFAX, Wash. - A man traveling eastbound on Sand Road died Monday evening after veering his car into a ditch on the opposite side of the road, according to the
Kevin Kennedy, a 65-year-old pilot from Arlington, was identified as the person who crashed a single-engine plane on Washington State Route 26. Kennedy was flying from Arlington to Colfax on July 1 when his plane lost power. Kennedy crashed on a small airstrip near Mile Point 104 and sustained serious injuries, according to a press.
The 38-year-old Lind man convicted by a federal jury of being a major regional drug trafficker has received a lengthy prison sentence.
Christopher Bounds was sentenced to over 26 years in federal prison and placed on probation for a decade this week in U.S. District Court in Idaho. A federal jury convicted bounds on 6 charges in August including conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and heroin and several firearms counts.
Bounds was arrested during a Quad Cities Drug Task Force bust in August of 2018 following a lengthy investigation. He was pulled over on U.S. Highway 95 near Lewiston. Authorities seized 2 pounds of pure meth, a pound of heroin, cash and 16 loaded firearms. The street value of the drugs was estimated at over 32,000 dollars.
